Simeon Ellerton
1695 -- 1799
Ellerton, who came from a humble background, was an avid runner and worked as a courier between the villages of his region. From each of his excursions, he would bring home a large stone, which he would carry on his head so that he could easily gather the building material for his house. When the house was finally built, he had become so accustomed to hauling stones that he simply continued to do so and, to everyone's surprise, reached the biblical age of 104.
