Keith Moon
1946 -- 1978
Keith John Moon was a British musician and, until his death, drummer for the rock group The Who. He was one of the most striking drummers of his time, with his extremely dynamic, fast playing and exalted demeanour. Moon the Loon was considered the joker of the group, with a pronounced penchant for heavy drug and alcohol consumption. He destroyed his drum kit and various hotel and flat furnishings after almost every important gig, but did so less impulsively and more methodically. Once he had a street blocked off by taxis so that he could then calmly throw all the furniture out of the room.
