Elvis Presley was considered the King of Rock'n Roll in the 50s: his voice was omnipresent, his hip thrusting enraptured millions. Presley never appeared on talk shows and avoided events like award ceremonies . Instead, he was often seen at concerts of colleagues, often surrounded by an entourage of friends and followers. He was addicted to pills and sweets and compulsively tried to control his environment and his wife. He was also notorious for his extreme mood swings. On a whim, he gave away a Cadillac to a stranger on the street, he had more than 300 guns lying around at home and if he didn't like the programme, he simply smashed the television set.
